It is the purpose of the ITLA Amicus Program to provide independent and scholarly assistance to Idaho's courts through friend-of-the-court briefing and argument on issues of public interest. The Committee will select issues that further the rule of law, access to the justice system, preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury, and generally promote the common good.
Any person can request an amicus curiae intervention.
The ITLA Amicus Committee does not take into consideration the applicant's or the applicant's lawyer or law firm's affiliation with ITLA when reviewing the request.
