ITLA sponsors ITLAtalk, an interactive list serve linking members from around the state. Questions, comments and suggestions can be posted here for discussion. A valuable tool for all members.

Get free, case-specific advice on opening and closing statements, witness preparation, exhibits and other aspects of trial presentation.
DAILY LEGAL NEWS BRIEFS – E-Clips
As an ITLA member, you’ll receive daily news clips to you via e-delivery. Association staff from all over the country scan dailies, web news sites and other periodicals for news specifically oriented to trial lawyers.
TrialSmith is a national litigation research bank designed exclusively for plaintiff lawyers. Trial Lawyer Association members from 50 states contribute to this private, Internet-based document bank that is available only to ITLA members and gives you 24 hour access to the research you need with no special software required.
The Association publishes a Membership Directory that lists all current members of the ITLA in alphabetical order, by city and by areas of practice emphasis. A handy reference that enables you to locate your peers across the state. Prospective clients, as well as members of Trial Lawyer Associations around the country call us regularly for referrals. Your listings in the Directory let us match you with those in need of your expertise.
CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION
From the Annual Convention to periodic, regional seminars which address pertinent and timely issues, ITLA provides it’s members with comprehensive continuing legal education opportunities. The programs presented by ITLA throughout the year are geared to enhance your competence and abilities as a trial lawyer and to better serve your clients and the public. The camaraderie enjoyed at these functions is just an added bonus of ITLA.
Make memories at the ITLA Annual Convention featuring a CLE program, social events, a trade show and the opportunity to network with attorneys.
ITLA monitors all state legislation and provides lobbying and expert testimony before committees on bills which will affect your clients’ legal options. Our Key Contact system of grassroots lobbying uses your input and expertise to discuss issues with your local legislators. ITLA’s members furnish Idaho lawmakers with information necessary to pass just and constitutionally sound laws.
During each Legislative Session, ITLA keeps you informed of news from the Capitol. Late-breaking information is sent you your email.
GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The committee tracks legislation, initiates measures sponsored by the Association and works for or against key bills to insure that the voice of the trial lawyers and the consuming public is heard.
Through voluntary contributions, ITLA PAC supports legislative candidates who adhere to ITLA’s philosophy of victim’s rights and ethical practice of trial law. Joining together allows us a stronger voice in influencing the electoral process and expressing the concerns of our clients.
The ITLA Foundation, Inc. Amicus Committee is comprised of some of Idaho’s outstanding lawyers. The Committee has appeared before the Supreme Court in numerous cases important to the trial bar and the public.
CERTIFICATION OF SPECIALIZATION
ITLA offers certification in the areas of Civil, Criminal and Workers’ Compensation law.
ITLA cooperates with and supports other organizations with similar ideals, goals, and agendas, including public interest, consumer and victims rights groups.
For out-of-town members, the ITLA office is available for small meetings, depositions and use of the telephone. And the coffee is always fresh.
