The Idaho Trial Lawyers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of justice for all of the citizens of Idaho. The ITLA began in 1967 and includes attorney, legal staff and law student members. The Right to Trial by Jury and access to the courts for all citizens is our goal. Upholding the Idaho Constitution as well as the U.S. Constitution is paramount. Our mission includes the dedication to making and preserving good law which serves the people of Idaho.ITLA is committed to increasing citizen access to the court system through the ITLA Street Law Clinic and our lawyer referral program. Commitment by attorneys to helping individuals navigate the system is important to us. ITLA members utilize the expertise of fellow trial lawyers to better serve their clients through networking, list serves and quality continuing legal education. Helping attorneys better serve their clients is our goal.

ITLA is committed to fulfilling our mission of advocacy, education, outreach, and member recruitment to build a diverse community of members and leaders that reflect the communities of all clients we serve and fight to protect. We believe that all trial lawyers working together make our Association stronger in the fight for justice. ITLA strives to maintain a collective mixture of traits and attributes of the members of the association and the Board, characterized by differences and similarities in age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, and national origin, and, further, expects its members to respect the diverse traits, attributes, and perspectives of all.
