The purpose of the ITLA Foundation, Inc., as Amicus Curiae, is to provide independent and scholarly assistance to Idaho’s courts through friend-of-the-court briefing and argument on issues of public interest.
The ITLA Foundation, Inc. Amicus Committee will select issues that further the rule of law, retain access to the justice system, preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury, and generally promote the common good.
The intent of the ITLA Foundation, Inc. Amicus Program is to advance citizenship, equality and diversity, and promote conflict resolution, relief to the disadvantage and underprivileged (including by reason of age, ill-health, disability, and hardship), to seek elimination of prejudice and discrimination, and to defend human and civil rights under the law.
